Visas
It is important that no one arrives in the country without proper documentation.  Visas for Kenya can be obtained on arrival and for Tanzania & Uganda can be obtained at the respective borders. 
 

Currency
In all the three countries the local currency is  shillings and their value is different in each country.  All foreigners have to transact in US$ Dollars and any amount of foreign currency can be brought in the country.  All unspent local currency has to be changed before departure out of the country. 
 

Health
Yellow fever, cholera and malaria inoculations are recommended in all the three East African countries.  Valid certificates are required on arrival in each country.
 

Language
English is spoken in all the three countries.  The national language in all the three countries is Swahili.

Dress
Apart from your jeans and cotton clothes, special safari clothing is available upon arrival in the country.  Some of the hotels and lodges require elegant dressing for dinner.
